The all new uArm Swift range

Introduction

We just got stock of the uArm Swift range of desktop robotic arms made by UFactory! They were designed to make miniature desktop versions of the high standard robotic arms used in commercial manufacturing that are both affordable and accessible to everyone. The uArm Swift models feature a 4-axis parallel-mechanism which places most of the robot's weight in the base allowing the arm itself to move much faster while staying extremely precise. Controlled and programmed using uArm Studio an open source software package provided which allows the arm to be programmed in a block-based graphical interface, some models also supports gesture control.

So what can they actually do?

There is a big focus on the uArms being usable for as many things as possible. This led to many different end-effectors being created for the head of the arm allowing the user to choose freely and switch quickly. There are even built-in Seeed connections allowing the robot to sense and react to the real world.

uArm end-effectors available:

• Suction Cup
• Universal Holder
• Gripper
•  Swift 3D Printer (Only for uArm Swift Pro)
• Swift Laser (Only for uArm Swift Pro)
• 1 x OpenMV camera (Only for uArm Swift Pro)

These end-effectors allow for an incredible amount of possible uses, you could attach the arm with the gripper to a mobile robot chassis to create a mobile robot that can roam around picking things up. You could use the suction cup attachment to create a small scale production line at your desk. The universal holder could be used to hold a pen and create detailed drawing or even play an instrument! 

uArm Swift

This is the slightly smaller, lighter version of the robotic arm. It has a higher maximum speed than the other models but a lower repeatably value.

uArm Swift Pro - Standard Kit / Professional Kit

These are the versions designed for more serious users. They are more precise, have a longer reach, and come with more end-effectors - although these models do not support the gesture control feature.
