Arduino is an open-source family of development boards often used with add-on boards referred to as Shields. The development boards can easily be programmed with the free downloadable Arduino software better known as the Arduino IDE (Integrated Development Environment). The most popular circuit board is the Arduino Uno which features 14 digital and multiple analogue inputs and outputs as well as a voltage regulator, an on-board LED and more.
