UP Mini 2 3D Printer.

The printer was delivered quickly and with no problems. It was easily set up, although some searching of the internet for videos on the software proved useful. I have made a model Spitfire body as a test piece and it has come out remarkably well for such a small item. It takes a bit of experimenting but it soon becomes easy to use the printer. I thoroughly recommend it.

UP Mini 2 3D Printer

This 3D printer arrived very quickly and was securely packaged. It has a very sleek look in smooth white plastic which I really like. It is fully enclosed which is why I purchased it as I have used an UP Mini open frame model before, which was good, but suffered from temperature variations while printing. The setup isn't as easy as the leaflets says as some steps seem to be missing and it is not that obvious how to put things together or that you have to download the software from the web first. Downloading the user manual from their web site was helpful. As some steps seem to be missing then some common sense has to be used. However, once I had it connected and working it seems to be great. I have only done a few prints and I am still experimenting with using the raft or not. The print quality seems very good, which it should be considering it is brand new. It really helps to know something about 3D printing before getting this device as there are many jargon words involved. It is important to remember that this is only the printer, it is not the 3D design software, which you have to obtain yourself. I have been using the free online TinkerCAD (www.tinkercad.com) which is simple but seems easy to use. I haven't printed from TinkerCAD yet though. Generally, this seems to be value for money. I have had worse prints from more expensive printers.
