The Wio Terminal Chassis - LoRa-E5 and GNSS is a LoRaWAN communication extension board for Seeed Wio-Terminal Dev Board. It is embedded with a LoRa-E5 STM32WLE5JC Module, which is the worlds-first combination of a LoRa RF and MCU chips onto one single tiny chip. Powered by ARM Cortex-M4 core and Semtech SX126X LoRa chip, it is able to support both LoRaWAN and LoRa protocol on the worldwide frequency and (G)FSK, BPSK, (G)MSK, and LoRa modulations.

The GNSS module is the Quectel L76-LB. It supports concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and QZSS. With 33 tracking channels, 99 acquisition channels and 210 PRN channels, it can acquire and track any number of different GPS, GLONASS (or BeiDou) and SBAS signals.

Combining the Wio-Terminal with the Wio Terminal Battery Chassis & Wio Terminal Chassis - LoRa-E5 and GNSS, you can easily build a powerful compact, and cost-effective IoT device with the extended Grove Ports, allowing you to enjoy all the plug-and-play features of the Grove Ecosystem with over 300 Grove modules!

Seeed has made two great projects to introduce and get you started with the Wio Terminal Chassis, the first project is the Open source LoRaWAN Field Tester - A LoRaWAN Gateway Tester is a multipurpose portable tool that can detect the coverage of your LoRaWAN gateways to help you determine the optimum location for your LoRaWAN gateway deployment. The second project is the IoT Smart Garden Monitor Which can help you monitor the temperature and humidity of your garden/greenhouse and alert you if there is a problem.
