The Smart Passage Portal for Fish

We're sure you might have heard about this by now, but the brilliant guys over at Whooshh Innovations have invented a selective fish passage portal which the internet has dubbed 'The Salmon Cannon', designed to help migrating salmon get over dams.

Their project first came about in 2014 where humans would feed the Salmon into the system which took them to transport trucks to carry them upriver past the dam. The system has now been refined becoming more automated allowing the Salmon to swim in themselves and be transported over the dam and released quickly and safely to the other side.
