DESCRIPTION

This LED Ring features 16 vibrant RGB LEDs spaced around a circular PCB board.  We've worked with leading LED manufacturers to ensure these are of the highest quality and that they are fully compatible with the NeoPixel library you know and love using!

These rings have only 3 connections and are easy to get set up and control in no time. With a V+, GND and DATA connection they're driven from a single line making them perfect for use with controllers with limited output pins. You can chain rings together with ease thanks to the handy output data and power lines (make sure to think about power requirements). Due to the timing specific protocols used in the NeoPixel libraries, we'd suggest using these with a real-time microcontroller such as an Arduino or mbed device.

Each LED draws approximately 50mA at 5V when each red, green and blue are set to full brightness. The LEDs are individually addressable as they each have their own driver chip, each one has ~18mA constant current drive so the colour will be very consistent even if the voltage varies.

Please Note:

  • These do not ship with any wires or pins attached
