DESCRIPTION

By popular request, Adafruit has now made their 7-segment LED backpacks without the LEDs! These backpacks feature an HT16K33 I2C LED driver, they're simple and easy to use - you can use their library for the backpacks to get running in under half an hour, with numbers on the 7-segment. If you've been eyeing matrix displays but hesitated because of the complexity, this is the solution you've been looking for!

Like their other LED backpacks, these are end-to-end stackable and by soldering the address jumpers on the back you can have up to 8 backpacks all sharing the same two I2C wires.

To get you going fast, Adafruit has revised this popular board to be the same size and pinout as before but now with two STEMMA QT connectors on either side that are compatible with the SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors. This allows you to make solderless connections between your development board and the HT16K33 or to chain it with a wide range of other sensors and accessories using a compatible cable.

Comes with a fully tested and assembled LED backpack & 4-pin header. Some light soldering is required to attach the header if you desire to use this on a breadboard, and, of course, the display.

Please Note:

  • A 4-digit 0.56" tall 7-segment display is not included.
FEATURES
  • Product Dimensions: 50.0mm x 26.7mm x 6.0mm / 2.0" x 1.1" x 0.2"
