Cassie - The next generation of bipedal robots

 

We love our robots but when we first came across Cassie even we were surprised at how well the system could stand and move being a bipedal robot. The above video shows how the universities sub-company Agility Robotics developed the robot and some of the struggles they had. They state their main motivation behind creating Cassie was to create a system that could take the place of a human in life-threatening situations such as fire & rescue operations.
